Corporate Sports is an organization that promotes team spirit, fitness and fun through healthy competition. The balance of work and play is important to both the employee and employer. Participating in fun sporting activities can reduce stress levels while increasing one’s physical fitness. Studies have shown that companies that invest $1 into their employees for wellness purposes (ie. Active living) have experienced a $2.05 return on such investment. The bottom line is happy and healthy employees result in decreased absenteeism, turnover and illnesses and increased camaraderie, production and profits.
Corporate Sports has been in operation since April 1999 and hosted its first league in June of that year with four volleyball teams.  Since then, over 500 teams have been served. Seasonal leagues and tournaments are run throughout the year in basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball and slo-pitch.  All leagues and tournaments take place within the Greater Toronto Area and the Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge area.
In addition to hosting leagues, Corporate Sports organizes tournaments for charity.  Proceeds from these tournaments have been donated to such charities as the Hospital for Sick Children, the Christian Children Fund of Canada, Youth Horizon and newly adopted Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. The staff and volunteers donate their time to help in the operation of Bay St. Hoops, a prestigious basketball tournament that supports many charitable organizations including the Special Olympics and Big Brothers and Sisters. As proud supporters of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Corporate Sports will be hosting the CSI-JDRF Co-ed Slo Pitch Tournament in Kitchener/Waterloo in July.  This will be the 21st year the tournament will run which was formerly hosted by NCR in Kitchener. This tournament has raised over $332,000 in the last 20 years towards JDRF.
The company is also involved with out reach programs for local youth. Many high school and college students in leadership courses start as volunteers and become referees and junior event coordinators or conveners. The educational experience acquired has been life changing for some as they develop a sense of professionalism, people skills, organization skills, problem-solving skills and increased confidence levels. Many of the students refer to Corporate Sports in their resume as they enter into the work world.
